As Falun-Borlänge’s regional developmental company, our primary objective is to increase the attractive power of our region. One of our most important assignments is marketing the Falun-Borlänge region as an attractive region to companies and other interested parties outside the county of Dalarna. We also initiate and run developmental projects that contribute to dynamic trade and industry and sustainable development.

Another of our activities is carrying out assignments commissioned by our owner municipalities. These assignments are often aimed at improving our prospects of offering excellent living environments and public services – important aspects in the attractive power of our region.

Many people dream of running their own company. Some have a good business concept and unshakable self-confidence. Others may dream of testing out their own wings, but can’t quite figure out where they want to fly. A good option in these cases can be to take over an existing company. Whichever category you fall into, ‘Run your own company’ can help you all along your flight.

Raising the attractive power of the region is very much about attracting expertise and skill to the region – and keeping it there. To succeed in this, our region needs to support employers in their efforts to attract, recruit and retain their personnel.

Upper secondary school on home turf!
Upper secondary school – a necessary evil or the key to the future? We can of course not influence every individual student's outlook on their own studies, but we can make sure that we offer a wide and interesting selection of educational programmes.

Infrastructure

All roads lead to Falun-Borlänge.. Or at least they will soon.
Falun and Borlänge form the natural focal points of the region. It is here, and in Ludvika, that most of the jobs are located. For those who work here, or choose to move here, it should be just as attractive an option to live in the surrounding communities of Gagnef, Smedjebacken and Säter. The distances are not long, and with improved infrastructure and public transportation options, they’ll soon become even shorter.
